Julian

This bass solo was written in 2020, and originally recorded on acoustic bass (video below). Then I unlisted it due to being not satisfied with quality and some notes, and that some people told it’s a Metallica rip off. Well, it’s still nearly the same as it was then, but I just wanted to improve it slightly and do on an electric bass eventually.

And on May 21, I receive crushing news. Julian Matvijchuk, a fellow student, who used to study with me on the same faculty in the university, died in hospital after russians shelled their position. He was one of the most prominent activists of our hometown Poltava, and then he enlisted to defend our country against invaders. And this is my little contribution to keeping the memory of him. Glory to the heroes!
